From today, June 1, a price drop of Rs 135 for a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder will be in effect. People in the national capital will now have to pay only Rs 2,219 for a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder as a result of this price change.
The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been slashed by Rs 135 around the country today. The reduced price will be in effect from Wednesday, June 1. With this price cut, people in the national capital will have to shell out just Rs 2,219 for a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder. Earlier the price of the same was Rs 2,355.50 in Delhi. A commercial LPG cylinder of 19 kilograms will now cost Rs 2,171.50 in Mumbai from today. Similarly, the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Kolkata will cost you Rs 2,322. Whereas, in Chennai, an individual will have to pay Rs 2,373 per cylinder.
Earlier, on May 1, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder was upped by Rs 102.50, increasing the price of the same to Rs 2,355.50 from Rs 2,253 in Delhi.
However, the rate of domestic cooking gas cylinders has seen no change today and remain unchanged.
The last time prices of domestic cooking gas cylinders were hiked was in May. The price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder was upped by Rs 3.50 on May 19, increasing the price of the same to Rs 1,003 from Rs 999.50 in Delhi.
The price of the LPG cylinders of all measurements has been on a rise for long now. Last month in May, the price of both, commercial and domestic LPG cylinders were hiked. Prior to that, on April 1, the price of the commercial cylinder was hiked by Rs 250. The rate of a 19-kg cylinder was increased by Rs 105 on March 1, however, it was later reduced by Rs 9 on March 22.
The increase in the price of LPG cylinders was on the back of the increase in global energy prices. The prices are on the rise apparently because of the Ukraine crisis and supply concerns.
Meanwhile, Petrol and diesel prices remain unchanged today for the tenth day in a row on Wednesday i.e. June 1. The last time petrol and diesel prices declined was on May 22, a day after the Centre slashed the excise duty by Rs 8 per litre on petrol and Rs 6 per litre on diesel on May 21. This reduction in the excise duty has brought the price of a litre of petrol and diesel down by Rs 9.5 and Rs 7, respectively. Petrol in Delhi will now cost Rs 96.72 per litre as against Rs 105.41 previously while diesel rates have gone down from Rs 96.67 per litre to Rs 89.62 according to a price notification of state fuel retailers.

How to get the LPG Subsidy amount via the Aadhaar Card?
-Click on the link http://mylpg.in/index.aspx and under ‘Forms’ click on ‘PAHAL Joining Form’. An application form will be displayed on your screen.
-Download and print out a couple of copies of the form. Fill the application form ensuring all the details are correct where in one of the forms you will be required to fill Part A, and Part B and submit it your LPG distributor.
-In the other form, fill the PART A, PART B, and PART C of the form and submit it to the bank with whom you have a bank account. Make sure you also attach relevant documents with your application form before submission.
