To receive the next instalment, eligible farmers must make sure to update their KYC using online or offline methods.

According to the PM Kisan website, "eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. Pls. click eKYC option in Farmer Corner for Aadhar based OTP authentication and for Biometric authentication contact nearest CSC centres."


It added, "There may be Time Out & Delay in response while verifying OTP due to intermittent issue in OTP services of UIDAI as per notification received from UIDAI."


PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: Here's How to update eKYC online


Step 1: Visit official website of PM-Kisan.

Step 2: Click on eKYC option available on right side of the page


Step 3: Enter Aadhaar Card number, captcha code and click on search


Step 4: Enter the mobile number linked with the Aadhaar card


Step 5: Click on 'Get OTP' and enter the OTP in the specified field.

PM Kisan is a central-sector initiative that is entirely funded by the Indian government. All land-owning farmer families will receive an annual income support of Rs 6,000/- in three equal instalments under the scheme. The funds will be deposited directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts. According to the scheme's guidelines, the state government and the UT administration would identify the farming families that are eligible for assistance.

How to check PM Kisan beneficiary status

Step 1: Go to the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi official website- pmkisan.gov.in


Step 2: Click on the 'Beneficiary Status' option.


Step 3: Select either an Aadhaar number, an account number, or a mobile number.


Step 4: Click on 'Get Data.'


The data will now be visible to the beneficiaries.


The following categories of beneficiaries of higher economic status shall not be eligible for benefit under the scheme, according to PM Kisan website;


—All Institutional Land holders.


—Farmer families which belong to one or more of the following categories:.


—Former and present holders of constitutional posts


—Former and present Ministers/ State Ministers and former/present Members of LokSabha/ RajyaSabha/ State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils, former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.

—All serving or retired officers and employees of Central/ State Government Ministries /Offices/Departments and its field units Central or State PSEs and Attached offices /Autonomous Institutions under Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies


—(Excluding Multi Tasking Staff /Class IV/Group D employees)


—All superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs.10,000/-or more


—(Excluding Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV/Group D employees) of above category


—All Persons who paid Income Tax in last assessment year


—Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with Professional bodies and carrying out profession by undertaking practices.
