Programme(NRDWP) w.e.f 2009-10. The components of NRDWP are: Coverage,
Sustainability, Water quality, DDP areas, O&M and Support.
The Programme “National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP)” is
administered by the Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitations, GOI in the country. The
focus of the programme is “to ensure drinking water security both in terms of adequacy
and quality of water to all people on a sustainable basis by adopting holistic approach
through conjunctive use of surface, ground and rain water harvesting besides
recharging of sources and mobilizing the system”.
